Pros

The most enjoyable part of working for this company is being a part of an organization that does so much good for the community. It's very rewarding. ACT truly cares about the individuals they serve. It's a place where you can start a career that's not in the retail or restaurant industry, which seem to be the most plentiful industries in this college town. The pay has recently increased, with a dollar raise for every single employee. They offer health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings, paid vacation and time off, and more. I am thankful to work with such wonderful people and have the opportunity to be involved in the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

Cons

If you want to get ahead and get promoted, you'll need to take responsibility for your own advancement. Participate in some committees, stay on top of your training, and get along with your coworkers. You won't get bumped up just because you've been around the longest.

Pros

ACT is a company that truly cares, whether it's providing the best support to individuals with disabilities, or to employees. Each staff member is adequately trained and taught valuable skills/knowledge to be the best in their position they can be. Working as a PA provides hands-on experience that will mirror my career once the necessary degree is competed.

Cons

Low pay, due to the lack of degree in the field. This is understandable, however.
