Pros

I love the people and the store is so uplifting and fun. I got to go give money to a charity in our town. Our store worked hard for them and we were motivated because we could go and give the organization the money as a group. The company sent us the check and by the way, they do this every month or two and it is a lot of money. They were crying when we gave it to them and it really touched me! I have never worked anywhere that you were able to do this. I also get to go volunteer and they pay me to do this. I have read some of the reviews and just wonder to myself...who in the world do these people work for??? Not the company I work for! Our DM and Home Office are always encouraging us and praising us. Right before Thanksgiving Home office sent every store a turkey and ham from Honey Baked so we could all sit down and have a store dinner. They didn't need to do that, but wanted us to feel appreciated. I thought that was really nice. We all brought side dishes and took group holiday pictures. My DM goes above and beyond for all of us. Even part timers. She always brings some special treat on her visits to show us she cares and even offers to help us out if we are cleaning or doing something that is not very fun. I promise anyone that reads this that this is the best job I have ever had!!! My DM talks to me and asks all about me and tells me that she appreciates my hard work. Where I worked before I only saw my DM once and she never even spoke to me. Maybe the people that say horrible things are people that have been fired. I don't know, but it is really awful to read and know that it is not true. Everyone works hard, but isn't that what you are supposed to do? My store manager never complains. She makes things fun. My DM stays all night and works with us on floor sets and we really enjoy it. I have never heard of a time that anyone was asked to neglect their kids or pets. That is ridiculous! You are actually allowed to bring your dog to work here! Bottom line is that I am not someone that writes on these things, but had to write this after my friend told me about some of the things that were on here. They need to remember...if you don't have anything nice to say...you are probably a miserable person! I do not dispute the fact that we work hard, but that is our choice and I say again, I have never been forced or told to work all the time. My DM always tells us to take our time off and go home if we are done with our shift. Lastly...if you are a big cry baby and don't like to work...to quote someone that wrote on here - "no, no, no!" - don't come work here!

Cons

I am challenged to find anything that is any different than all the other stores in the mall. Retail hours are not ideal, and there is always to much to do...especially at Christmas. It is what it is. At least I love working here and that makes it better!

Pros

Literally nothing, can’t think of one positive thing

Cons

I’ve been with the company for years and watching its continuous downfall has become almost comical. Two years ago we took major pay cuts (like 15%) because of the economy but this year they sent us to the Virgin Islands on this over the top meeting that must have cost a fortune. I’d rather have the money in my bank versus a trip I was forced to go on with senior leadership that are absolute horrific people in general and evil businesses people. It all felt like a big propaganda event with tons of videoing and picture taking so they could come home and post all over linked in and social media about how WONDERFUL it is to work there. Don’t even get me started on the new Little House on the Prairie denim dresses we have to wear because they hire managers that aren’t even strong enough to coach to a dress code. How can you run a store if you can’t even tell someone what they’re wearing inappropriate? Instead now we look like a bunch of little followers of the cult everyone already says it is. As long as we say we “stand out for good” at every opportunity it must mean it’s true right? To know who else brainwashed people into thinking bad things are good for them? CULT LEADERS.
