Pros

Literally, the only "good" thing I would say is that I met some sweet people (who were not upper management) & obviously the discount.

Cons

Where do I start? I could rant for hours, but I will keep it short & to the point. There is literally NOBODY to go to when it comes to something being seriously wrong or employees being mistreated. The higher the management team goes, the worse the behavior seems to be. These people put up a true front on how much they "stand out for good" and for the good of God? Yeah, right. They are supposed to be good people and Christians, yet they hire women who cuss at their employees and say negative words to and about them CONSTANTLY to run their stores. I know of several occasions where employees were talked negatively about to other employees, yet the store manager is nice to everybody's face when she sees them. The store I worked at was like having a 15 year old insecure girl be the boss of everyone - making fun of people, talking bad about them for no reason whatsoever, and then being fake as hell to their faces. I also know of many customers and employees who have called HR on this store manager and nothing was ever done. This is why the further up it goes, the worse it gets. I also met several of the upper management team and they were very rude people, not all of them, but most. This explains why they let such heartless and mean people run their stores. When it comes down to it, they just use who will work their butts off for them so they don't have cough up any more money than they have to. Oh, and don't dare go over payroll because these young girls who work hard to keep their store so "visually gorgeous" don't really matter to them, as long as the store has its visuals ON POINT... There's no need in paying anyone overtime or give raises in their eyes. It's a damn joke and extremely disappointing. These people will get theirs though. What goes around comes around. You can't treat people badly for no reason and expect to succeed in life happily.

Pros

Literally nothing, can’t think of one positive thing

Cons

I’ve been with the company for years and watching its continuous downfall has become almost comical. Two years ago we took major pay cuts (like 15%) because of the economy but this year they sent us to the Virgin Islands on this over the top meeting that must have cost a fortune. I’d rather have the money in my bank versus a trip I was forced to go on with senior leadership that are absolute horrific people in general and evil businesses people. It all felt like a big propaganda event with tons of videoing and picture taking so they could come home and post all over linked in and social media about how WONDERFUL it is to work there. Don’t even get me started on the new Little House on the Prairie denim dresses we have to wear because they hire managers that aren’t even strong enough to coach to a dress code. How can you run a store if you can’t even tell someone what they’re wearing inappropriate? Instead now we look like a bunch of little followers of the cult everyone already says it is. As long as we say we “stand out for good” at every opportunity it must mean it’s true right? To know who else brainwashed people into thinking bad things are good for them? CULT LEADERS.
