Pros

Alta is a great place to work. While not every day is easy and fun, but there is a lot of great teamwork and willingness to accomplish common goal. There are a lot of people who passionate about their work and have thirst to achieve great results and deliver the best service to our customers. Everyone is working together for the common goal in the fun and meaningful way. Great benefit and vacation package, which includes company paid medical insurance premiums. Company has very diverse work force, with people working at Alta from more than 17 countries. Alta is a great company for passionate people who want to achieve great results and learn new skills!!!

Pros

Friendly, fun sales environment. Jokes around until the end of the day while working hard. Cakes on members' birthdays, which happens quite often. Free lunch at times as well, maybe at the end of the month, not sure.

Cons

Managers valued quantity over quality, maybe that's the norm? The manager did not support collaboration and stopped me while I was asking a sales veteran for feedback.

Alta Technologies Response

It is an awesome group of people to work with here, and what they achieve daily is really incredible. I’m glad that shines through! Thank you for your feedback. Quality is essential at Alta, in the products and service we deliver every day… but yes, in this role, quantity of outbound calls and activity is also extremely important, I can’t disagree with that. This particular job is similar to an SDR/BDR type of role in the beginning, where you’re performing outbound outreach to introduce prospects to our Product Managers and Account Executives, who will turn your initial conversations into relationships. The outbound role isn’t for everyone, as it is heavily quantitative just by nature. It also requires constantly trying different approaches, which do take a few months to measure, so again.. spot on. This role will eventually transition to that qualitative role as an AE or PM, but that initial year+ is heavy on outbound touches and connection handoffs and we need to do a better job communicating that up front. Thanks again for your perspective, it’s very helpful.
