Pros
Alphascript provides a very rewarding experience for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to strive for excellence in a career in pharmacy. While the job is challenging and there are high standards and expectations, it is rewarding to see the impact we have in our patients' lives. Hours are 7am - 7pm Monday through Friday and we get major holidays off. You definitely have to work hard here, but everyone puts in the time and effort so it feels like you are working as a team and not alone. I can see that when feedback is given to upper management, they try to implement plans to address that feedback whether it be a concern or a suggestion. I used to work at a large chain corporation and somehow I found myself losing the passion I had when I went into the field of pharmacy. Being at Alphascript reminded me why I wanted to go into pharmacy in the first place. When you are surrounded with like-minded people who are working very hard to provide care to our patients, it makes you want to work even harder to outdo yourself.
Cons
Some days/weeks may require long hours. If you are a hardworking individual who is willing to be open minded to all the quirks of a small company, then you can do well at Alphascript. It is challenging, but it can be fun at the same time.
