Pros

Nothing really, the pay is good, but against the revenue you generate, stress and office hours, 8.30-6.30 (often much later) it's not worth it.

Cons

Besides everything already mentioned on this page, long hours, stress, micro management, poor management, young and inexperienced people in high up positions, etc. they promote fast (if you meet the often unachievable standards) but the VPs have no say in anything whatsoever, they are basically just a Senior Manager. AlphaSights will make you feel like a horrible person, misleading and tricking experts into engaging into insider information for a lowballed rate to feed a client that treats you like dirt on their shoe. The people they hire are too smart for this, those that realise leave quickly, and those that don't stay and get indoctrinated into the AlphaCult to perpetuate the cycle. Mostly the exit opportunities are non-existent, you learn no real skills, and will struggle, as I have to find something to go to. Add to the fact many people need a Visa, so they get trapped here struggling to get out and becoming more miserable. If your ideal resume soft skills consist of lying and harassing Senior Execs, and worshipping clients, and your ideal hard skills cold-calling and cold-emailing, then go for it, this is the place for you. If not, you are better than this sad institution.

Pros

high earnings, competitive pay, young coworkers

Cons

you aren't rewarded with freedom when performing well, hours are unnecessarily long, friday optional WFH makes it barely worth it, plastic corporate culture, lack of investment in true happiness in their employees, lots of degrading cons are masked as "benefits" - you dont gain any specific or transferrable skills and unless you work and think outside of the box regarding skills you could develop, you'll find yourself at square 1 in an SDR role two years out, despite the job not even being a sales role (no, you dont get a strategy consulting gig after this). managers and vps all promoted within, some are very smart and nice but lack of external oversight hurts broadened perspectives
