Pros

AlphaSights has been a great place to start my career. Relative to similar roles in similar industries, I truly feel the level of autonomy I’ve been given, the skill set I’ve learned, and the experience I’ve gained so early on in my career is second to none. It’s rare to find an environment where everyone is similarly ambitious and yet highly supportive of each other at all stages - somehow AlphaSights has cracked that. I know it has a reputation of requiring quite long hours, but in my experience, the hours are standard (if not better) for similar professional client service roles and management has always made an effort to teach the skills required to manage your time effectively and determine for yourself how to maintain a good balance. I feel especially fortunate to have landed on the Survey team, as I think it brings together the best parts of AlphaSights with the added benefit of getting to shape and impact a fast-growing part of our business.

Cons

- We prioritise being in-office, which means the role will have less flexibility than others; that said, as the in-office team environment in my experience is one of the best parts about AlphaSights, this is something most people I know here value, but it's not for everyone! - At a high growth company (and especially on high growth teams) things change frequently. Those who succeed here enjoy the challenge of adapting quickly as the needs of the business evolve and taking advantage of opportunities to innovate, but again it's not for everyone.

Pros

Rapid Progression & Recognition: Performance is directly rewarded here. If you hit your goals and show drive, the path to promotion and career growth is transparent and fast. Strong Team Culture: The team energy is fantastic. Everyone is highly collaborative, supportive, and commercially minded, which makes for a great working environment. High Autonomy: From day one, you are given real ownership over your projects (like leading recruitment events, managing candidates, and driving partnerships), allowing you to grow your commercial skills rapidly.

Cons

High Velocity & Pressure: The work is very fast-paced with strict timelines and high-volume expectations. It is not a place where you can coast, and you need to be comfortable working under commercial pressure. Resilience is Key: Sourcing and recruiting require a great deal of resilience. You have to be comfortable with rejection and persistent in finding creative solutions to hit your targets.

Pros

The team culture here is what keeps me around. People genuinely want to help each other do well, and it feels collaborative in a way that's hard to find elsewhere. What I've appreciated most is how much autonomy you get over your own career. I've been able to take on responsibility early, learn a ton, and grow quickly without anyone holding me back.

Cons

It's fast-paced and the bar is high. You've got to be comfortable figuring things out as you go. But honestly, if you like being challenged and want to develop fast, it's a great place to do that.
