Pros

Fast paced, opportunities to learn

Cons

Leadership team does not listen. Nor do they actually know anything about what the company does. Instead they put everything on the workers to make up for their lack of understanding leading very frequent costly mistakes that looses the company business. Rather than learning from these failures, the same managers continue to make the same errors repeatedly while sometimes throwing their own teams under the bus instead of taking responsibility.

Pros

semi good pay HR is great! most customers are great most techs are very friendly Company car Autonomy- however too much...

Cons

Ad hoc team ethics No core values No work life balance Over-growth mentality No shared vision Upper management is amateur and lacks all relational cues and many soft skills, will drive you into the ground and dispose of you if you cost too much. Will fire you at the drop of a hat without cause. He plays favorites and harbors resentment if you hint of embarrassing his favorite amateur lower management. Upper management will make examples of your mistakes for all to see with impunity and is out of touch with field engineers' stressors. Dispatch is disorganized and some are great, but some are even emotional and will double and triple dispatching you without regard to your workload. You can't get machine history- and you're left with no recourse when trying to troubleshoot The organization is dysfunctional - lacking in ethos, or any brand identity-pathos whatsoever. Communication is likewise dysfunctional across the organization. It's so dysfunctional, I can't begin to reference it here... Training is a joke- once you get out of training for 2 weeks- your tossed out on your own- NO JOB SHADOWING. Training is completely inadequate so you have to fake it until you make it or get fired or quit. Territories are horrendous - you can work 3-5 states instead of a 4-hour radius you get at least 8, and still expected to comply with half the time. Your direct manager will most likely be completely hands-off- no follow-up and most of them do not have your back. Watch out! This is a third-party service organization- many customers are reluctant to accept Alpha Source to come in because the partnership was handled so poorly with Hologic, Alpha Source has no brand identity or track record- and because they are a service e centered organization, they have no brand literacy, they don't have the capacity or competence to know how to bridge the trust gap for Hologic Customers, and because Alpha Source is only interested in building revenue - they are driven only by upper leadership vision to eventually sell-off- As a result, you will routinely hear Hologic employees complain of a hostile takeover and constant complaints and bickering that the relationship is corrosive and will not last. Many Hologic employees secretly resent Alpha Source and work to disguise it, nevertheless, the partnership is toxic and Alpha source does not have the capacity to identify or fix it. Look elsewhere for long-term employment.
