Pros
Alpha’s a genuinely great place to work. The people are smart, driven, and down-to-earth, and there’s a strong culture of collaboration and trust. It’s the kind of environment where you’re given real responsibility early on, and your ideas are listened to - not just nodded at. What I really value is how much scope there is to get involved and help shape things. The business is growing quickly, but it still feels agile, and there’s lots of interesting work happening - new products, expansion into new markets. It’s exciting, and you feel part of something that’s building momentum. Leadership is approachable and open, and there’s a healthy balance between ambition and support. Expectations are high, but if you’re motivated and enjoy taking ownership, it’s a brilliant place to be.
Cons
- The pace can be intense at times, and expectations are high - this suits some but won’t be for everyone. - As we’ve grown quickly, not all processes have scaled with us - some areas still feel quite manual or require workarounds. - Communication between departments can occasionally be inconsistent, though this is improving with more cross-functional initiatives. - Decision-making can feel centralised at times, which can limit autonomy in certain areas. - Career development isn’t always clearly mapped out - although managers are supportive, more structure around progression would be helpful.
