- Really quiet environment at the office. At first, I thought it was my colleagues' way of working but later on, I understood it was due to the cold climate the CEO was spreading out because if you talk, you don't work.
- Poor management: Absolutely no strategy or long-term goals have been set amount my time there. With the team, we tried to present many strategies that were, one day, accepted and the next week rejected, to then go back to square one with no strategy. I let you imagine (as someone working in marketing) how frustrating this was. The company is scared of changes and operates on a day-to-day strategy. No coherent nor backed-up explanation is provided when rejecting the team ideas.
- It really felt like working in an environment where I was constantly overwatched and micromanaged. Every little thing I was doing had to be reported. I had to send a report every day from day 1 to my manager to let him know what I was working on (because the manager was WFH abroad every day). We had meetings every single morning to let him know what we would be working on that day (because as previously mentioned-- there is no long-term strategy and we work on daily tasks). I let you imagine the waste of time...
- The turnover is unbelievable. People leave or get fire every month.
- Lastly, regarding compensations and benefits, there is only 2-3 WFH day per month which is not guaranteed (you need to have a good reason for it). Besides this, there is no employee insurance nor other benefits.
