Pros
they gave us all bagels on Fridays
Cons
Almstead is owned and run by two brothers, who inherited the business from their father. These two men did not build the company, but they are doing a fine job running it into the ground. They give their employees conflicting information because they refuse to communicate, and when there's confusion, they blame it on their employees. They don't bother to train people, then reprimand new employees for making mistakes. They expect you to have a degree, but won't pay you more than $18 an hour. You're supposed to be there for 8.5 hours a day because "this is an 8 hour a day position" except your lunch break is unpaid/ doesn't count. Overall, management does not respect or value their employees in the slightest, which is why it's extremely hard to find anyone who's been there more than a year and a half or so.
