Pros
Ok benefits Ok pay compared to most banks in the area. Bank itself is ok. Tried to be positive.
Cons
Once again, the bank itself is ok but the main issue is leadership. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians as they say. What's even more disturbing is the fact the Indians have more experience than some leaders. A lot of leaders will use you for your ideas with no recognition (doesn't apply if you're one of the cool kids in the "in" crowd). For an online bank, it falls short in the advanced tech of things like they state due to constant cyber attacks that could've been avoided. Most promotions are friends of leaders or they bring in their friends to Ally but lack of fraud knowledge has been shown. Disorganized, constant changes to procedures that don't make sense from a fraud standpoint. Fraud leaders are usually "cliqued up" with their friends and have no problem talking about others in a negative light openly. Truly a borderline bully culture because no one wants to speak out in fear of being retaliated against. Found that a lot of leaders talk a good game but lack true leadership and knowledge when it counts. Need better pay to help with rapidly rising cost of living but I think that's most jobs in Charlotte. Definitely not a career bank unless you're friends with the right people or willing to kiss butt to make it. And to speak about the HR department who outsourced a company that takes your complaint to determine if it's worthy of being sent to Ally HR (I cannot make this stuff up). If so, you will get an unfavorable outcome unless you have leaders as your friend to look out for you even if that person wasn't honest and guilty of the accusation. Seen a few people who have committed sexual/workplace harassment and still work there and a few have got promoted but yet we are required to take a workplace harassment course every six months- year that states it won't be tolerated. LOL. It's truly a joke and sad. Not even going to touch on the race issue in leadership as much either because it's exhausting when you have educated people of color with degrees/experience working Frontline but mostly "lighter" women and men with less experience as leaders. This bank is just as bad as Wells Fargo.
