Pros
Nurses are managed by nurses at Allina. I didn’t realize how important this was until I worked for another company where my manager had an MBA. If you can’t do my job, and do it better than me, you shouldn’t be managing me and doing my reviews. Allina offers $100 Wellbeing dollars each year.
Cons
Pay and benefits are not the best at Allina unless you’re part of MNA. Only a couple holidays give time and a half, and if the holiday falls on a day you’d typically work you have to pay yourself with your PTO. Management above the CSS role can quickly become out of touch with what the majority of nurses are doing.
