Pros

Top tier investment professionals involved in most businesses, reflected in positive AUM and natural growth overall

Cons

IT management, and particularly Robert McWilliams as IT COO, is making a mess moving and hiring employees in Nashville with the headquarters move. They continue to have profound problems with hiring qualified professionals and retention afterward. The focus is more on meeting tax incentives agreed to with the State, rather than ensuring core business continuity and needs, and business is suffering because of it. Since AB announced the HQ move to Nashville in 2018, there have been 500-800 terminations in Nashville alone. The NY Post article on 5/12/22 is spot on with senior management across the board bailing after their $4m-14m payouts, leaving the troops on the ground without much incentive other than to keep their jobs.

Pros

AB is a solid mid-sized company with a really good work-life balance. The culture is friendly and supportive.

Cons

Compensation is relatively lower compared to larger firms, especially big tech or larger financial institutions.
