Pros

Many great people work here and do equally great work on behalf of foster children and their families. The salaries are fair. The benefits are above average. Looks good on your resume, as the Alliance is well-respected in the community.

Cons

The tone set by the administrators internally often borders on crisis-management. Everything is top-down and heavily micromanaged. If the health of an agency is judged by turnover rate, this agency looks bad. About 1 person leaves each mongh, on average. That's 12 out of 50 employees per year. 25% turnover. Above all, if you go to work here, be very careful who you listen to or talk to. The culture encourages mistrust and bad behavior, like gossiping.

Pros

Super responsive, great and positive work environment, great place to get experience as a college student, to know whether or not public interest law is for you.

Cons

Remote? (if that's what you don't want), workload depends on actual case demand so sometimes its really hectic and other times not
