People are great to work with.

Systems in place aren't the most fluent and up to date.

The kindness of the Staff and Faculty is what makes the AU experience.

This institution struggles with low pay, poor organization, and low employee morale. It significantly lags in terms of progress. I would not recommend working here due to the rigid, high-stress environment. Daily overtime is often expected, and new employees receive little to no training or guidance—you’re simply expected to figure things out on your own. If you're considering applying, I urge you to conduct thorough research and make a well-informed decision. Unlike many other educational institutions, staff here do not receive scheduled time off for spring, fall, or winter break. Time off is limited to just two days for Thanksgiving and two days for Christmas. Benefits are minimal, and there are no retirement plan options. The facilities also need serious upgrades—at one point, the A/C system failed for over a week, forcing several staff members to leave due to extreme heat. Instead of streamlining operations or improving efficiency, much of the work assigned is busywork.
