Pros

Even the pay is low if you compare it to the hours, so there are no benefits.

Cons

People will comment on your appearance, your gender, your sexuality, your race, your religion, anything they can to make you feel less than. You'll spend a week in orientation learning the life history of the company's founder like he's a messianic figure, while learning nothing about the job, the systems and tools, or the intense amount of bureaucratic tasks you have to do regularly. They expect every single person to reinvent the wheel and the concept of mentorship is completely foreign to this company. As a result, processes are extremely disorganized and chaotic. If you work here and refer applicants, they'll be ghosted by the recruiters, or sent terrible canned emails that don't provide any info. Directors will regularly insult you, sometimes throwing full on tantrums with desk pounding, personal insults, and screaming. You will be expected to answer any communications immediately regardless of time. They would prefer if you did eat, sleep, or take bathroom breaks. Definitely forget about seeing your family. And, you must be psychic as well. If you look up the red flags that you might belong to a cult, this company has far too many of them.

Pros

- Compensation is good - Higher fees typically mean you're doing more high level work (i.e., not long boring implementations) - In P&T you don't have to live near an office, just near an airport - For the most part, weekends are respected - For the most part, everyone at the firm is smart and hardworking, the few exceptions typically get weeded out eventually

Cons

- High degree of variability in travel, weekend work, etc. across the firm - you need to find the good managers to work for - Like all consulting, when work gets busy your personal life is expected to take a back seat
