      Pros

      AlixPartners is full of very smart and talented people. This means that every given day I'm learning something new, whatever is the engagement. The work is really interesting, working together with the client to solve their worst problems. In my experience the overall work/life balance is very good, much better than in other consulting companies I've been working in the last 10 years. One plus of this company is that it's one global company, without tight split between businesses and geographies.

      Cons

      Sometime the work pace gets a bit stressful, but this is typical for the strategy consulting. This work is not for everyone.

      Pros

      - Experience in solving high stakes business problems that's top of mind for C-suite Executives - Constant exposure to interacting with CXOs - Excellent compensation and benefits - Meaningful ownership and leadership opportunities at junior levels - High caliber peers and coworkers - Supportive leadership team

      Cons

      - Long hours / heavy travel depending on the type of project (consistent with most consulting firms)

      less hierarchal in nature than other consulting firms

      Cons

      seen a lot of off-handed comments about directors from other managing directors in the presence of SVPs and VPs when an employee had put in notice. Not nice. not a very diverse place to work
