Depending on your manager and the culture of your deliver group, you may get the privilege to work from home on occasion. However some groups don't allow you to work from home even if you've earned it in seniority and work quality.
Cons
The new delivery structure spreads resources thin, devalues client specific knowledge, and places an imbalanced workload on the project team vs. ongoing team.
