Pros

They have competitive commission, and the training is very thorough.

Cons

When I worked there they had a lot of drama between management and the sales staff. If they were to work on that, it would solve a lot of unnecessary work stressors.

Pros

This position can be a stepping stone

Cons

My time at Alice Lane Home was short, but it felt significantly longer due to the toxic culture driven by poor leadership and internal politics. The marketing team, led by someone with little formal training or relevant experience, lacked strategic direction. Unfortunately, leadership often fostered division instead of collaboration, creating a tense and competitive environment. Accountability was routinely deflected, and team members were frequently thrown under the bus in executive meetings. The broader leadership culture was also concerning. While some individuals are credited as creative forces, much of the work comes from talented but unrecognized team members behind the scenes. Feedback is rarely direct, and trust is hard to build when things are said behind closed doors instead of face-to-face. While the actual day-to-day work was fairly straightforward, the emotional toll of working in such a negative environment made it challenging to stay motivated or feel valued. If you're just starting out and need experience in marketing, this might be a stepping stone—but be prepared for a lack of mentorship and a potentially toxic work culture. For those further along in their careers, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a healthier, more professionally run environment.
