Pros
If you're a part-time associate, the hours are extremely flexible and allow for personal freedom. If you're lucky, your department manager is understanding, yet goal-oriented and will work toward keeping everyone on task.
Cons
Management will spend the majority of their time in the office, dictating workload onto an under-staffed floor. Poor scheduling of associates which results in poor customer service. Their only concern is numbers $$, and they don't consider satisfying customer needs in order to achieve those numbers.
