Pros
Was once a great place to work with a cutting edge Data Catalog and excellent culture and people. People 'on the ground' are intelligent and motivated.
Cons
Unfortunately, Alation has fallen from it's spot at the top, and is increasingly bested by upstart competitors they formerly brushed aside. The issues are completely the fault of leadership focusing on the wrong things. Tech debt is staggering and innovation non-existent, impacting customers. Sales leadership tries to brush this aside with process and meetings, ignoring the elephant in the room.
