Pros
Good people providing healthcare for most vulnerable population. Work environment is humane and people care about their co-workers. Work-life balance is possible depending on your role. Execs and management are working to change legacy management short comings. Great benefits.
Cons
Pay is low , keep in mind this is a non-profit health system. Advancement can be tricky for some. Not always straight forward opportunities for promotion. Management is experiencing growing pains as old guard is now asked to step up and act like managers. Legacy managers often lack vision for change and are bogged down in "how its always been".
