Pros

Free/discounted product, consistent 40 hour work week.

Cons

It's true, the office is pampered while warehouse workers are viewed as grunt laborers. Met a lot of great people with college degrees hoping to make a difference, willing to take any job to get in, with practically no hopeful outlook to advance. No, it doesn't make you entitled, but after mentioning my passion for the work Alaffia aims to do while babbling endlessly in my interview about my degree and its relevance to their mission, they ultimamtely didn't care. It was a harsh reality check. For one, there's no climate control in the warehouse which likely makes products unstable or sour, employees sweating like pigs to do their jobs, and the office workers sauntering around in shorts and ugly shoes congratulating themselves all the while being fake, ingenuine, and apathetic toward warehouse employees. Great, cold filtered water in stupid little cones. Would be refreshing if we weren't practically cloying for breath while slipping in our sweat attempting to get it. Completely degrading. Scanners in shipping are "too expensive" so it's better to exploit workers by giving a difficult average to reach while keeping wages pathetically low for the environment expected to work in. There's no signs anywhere describing how to report an injury. A workers bus came by where we were given the once in a lifetime privilege of signing our names on the bus with a pen while taking a corny picture wearing plastic orange hats. Everyone had to wear the orange hat. It was degrading, but the highlight of my time spent there because it was 15 minutes where I wasn't paid to be dying of heat stroke. No feedback is taken seriously. Management is apathetic regarding workplace harrassment, and show complete lack of moxy and tact. I wouldn't recommend this workplace to my worst enemy.
