Pros
Great benefits (i.e. health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans, county employees health center, paid holidays, accrued PTO, and pension. Wonderful people to work with. Upward mobility opportunities. Position allows for creative endeavors.
Cons
Management less than flexible. Employees working out of class without compensation. Often difficult to get time off due to having less staff available and keeping/hiring good staff. Less flexible staff scheduling than in the past. Working with the public has its own issues and at times situations can become unsafe.
