The issue of the succession in this family business has not been resolved. [text deleted] It is all too easy for an employee to get caught in the crossfire. There is a climate of distrust at the company--[text deleted]was fired, sued and denounced for stealing commissions from sales. The landmark Pictet case in the U.S. describes what happened. This climate leads to false accusations. The company [text deleted]to be an attorney. The results are disastrous. If you get caught in the crossfire [text deleted] God help you. The company's operating units operate as independent silos. This results in one unit taking inconsistent positions with others. Deadlocks are frequent. [Text deleted] lead to an inability to delegate and to make decisions. Following the instructions of [text deleted]can put you in hot water with the other. All in all, a toxic environment resulting in high turnover and a lack of real strategy and direction. Some of the silo's are run well: ARCC (Al Rushaid Construction Company) is one of them. The Snamprogetti joint venture (with TAQA Al Rushaid) is also run well.
