I have been with Akvarr since July 2013 and based on my experiences here are some of the good reasons why I would stay with them and recommend friends - 1) Handle Immigration Issues: If you are a visa holder, you need a company who are expert on handling visa and green card related problems. I recently got RFE on my visa transfer and Akvarr team worked very diligently in terms of responding to the USCIS query, reviews and follow ups. 2) Payment: I never faced issues with delay in payment which I know as a very common issue with many other companies. 3) Availability : You need your employer to be available to talk to you or respond to your email if you run into any issue or want to discuss something related to your next projects/career/benefits etc. Akvarr is very good at responding to you in timely manner. 4) Office Stuffs: I find most of the office stuffs are very efficient (Timesheet Management, Coordination with other vendors, marketing team and expense management)

Yes, there are opportunities like many other small but growing companies does. I find their health insurance plans need improvements. It's overly priced considering the coverage you get. I think they also need to put more process in place and add more office stuffs as they grow.
