Poor management and leadership:
The hiring system inside the company was really toxic especially the CEO and the founder micro-manage the hiring. Almost every offer needs to be approved by the founder even junior level positions, which means that even you delivered the proposed offer to candidates orally, there's high probability that the offer will fail in the approval process because of a lot of ridiculous reasons (not strong profile or education background even thought the candidate has passed all interview rounds). As a recruiter inside, I also delivered several calls to candidates that failed in the offer approval process. I personally tried everything to influence, but most time it's a fail. I don't understand why the hiring process would be so toxic like that. I think the founder and the CEO really don't care about the talents so they acted like they are emperors who have the power to say 'no' to those who have come through interviews. They also don't show the respect to recruiters cause they take the efforts from recruiters for granted. Apparently they enjoy the power they own. However, I still want to say that company branding and culture are conveyed by these details and the feelings from talents and employees. Everyone has their judgement internally and we shall see.
