Pros

With my experience as a Project Superintendent, I found that there were no pros.

Cons

Compensation for a superintendent is 100% commission. This may sound like it has potential. In fact, management will give a great "How to make money at Airoom" presentation. Kind of felt like I was being sold a "Time share". However, since the subs are paid VERY little and tend to be paid late, keeping an adequate work flow going is impossible. Superintendents have no control over timely payments to subs. Even approving invoices quickly will result in a minimum of 45 - 60 days. Now multiply all this headache by 8 - 10 projects at a time and you have a good idea of what it's like! The turn over of Superintendents is staggering. While I worked there, the percentage was easily 80% - 90%. Because of this "broken process", the customers are usually at some level of dissatisfaction. The only way there are so few negative reviews online can be because they have actually paid very unhappy customers to keep quite. Nice, huh? Please note: I am not some internet "troll", bad mouthing this company because I didn't get along with someone or got fired. I resigned fair and square because of everything I've described.

Pros

Great work environment with a supportive and collaborative team. The company provides excellent opportunities for professional growth, values employee contributions, and promotes a healthy work-life balance. Leadership is approachable, and the culture encourages learning, innovation, and career development. The workplace is professional and maintained to a high standard. Colleagues are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Working alongside a skilled and experienced team helps projects progress efficiently and effectively, creating a productive, positive, and rewarding work environment.

Cons

Projects move at a fast pace and require a high level of self-management and accountability. The workload and expectations can sometimes create pressure, especially when balancing multiple priorities. However, the challenging environment also provides significant opportunities for learning, skill development, and accelerated professional growth.

Pros

I have been employed by Airoom Architects & Builders for nearly 11 years, and my journey here has been both dynamic and rewarding. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of departments, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of the company’s operations, culture, and commitment to quality. Each role I’ve held has contributed to my professional growth, allowing me to develop a diverse skill set and gain insight into different aspects of the business—from project coordination to client relations and design collaboration. The leadership team has consistently supported internal growth, encouraging employees to take on new challenges and expand their expertise. Eventually, I stepped into a leadership role heading up Airoom Architects Corp., which has been a particularly fulfilling chapter in my career. In this position, I’ve been able to combine my experience with my passion for architecture and team development, helping guide projects from concept through completion while mentoring others along the way. What stands out most about Airoom is its strong emphasis on teamwork, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction. The company fosters a collaborative environment where ideas are valued and innovation is encouraged. While, like any organization, there are challenges, the overall experience has been one of continuous learning and meaningful contribution. I’m proud of the path I’ve taken here and the role I’ve played in shaping both projects and teams over the years.

Cons

The company can be demanding at times, especially during peak project cycles, which may require long hours or juggling multiple priorities.
