Pros

None really to be fair,

Cons

Horrible place to work battle of egos Sexist (lad environment) (women often degraded) This review is a bit different to the norm, one thing that isn't apparent when working at Airain is that your work and personal life will mesh in weird and not so wonderful ways For example, with Airain office being located in Guersney, the living situation is unorthoedox. The housing situation stipulates that you HAVE to have shared housing with your colleagues. This is typically a 3-5 bedroom house with shared bathrooms, kitchen and living area. To put this in otherwords it's like living in uni halls. With it being like uni halls, no one gives a S*** about the communal areas and they are often mistreated, dirty and untidy. And it's not even worth trying to get your accommodation with extortionate rent and limited space for housing due to it being a small island, it's this or nothing I mean there is a housing liscence that can make this more afforadbale for Airain staff however for this to be applicable the big huncho has to inform the states of Guersey some financial information about the company but with it being a hedgefund there's a fat chance of that happening. So you're forced into the situation. I mean sure, you could put a complaint in but all that will happen is an email going round to everyone to "do better" but won't result in anything, and time after time you'll come into the kitchen to find it a cesspool And thats life outside of work The work environment is a massive blame culture, a*** sniffers and big stick waving competition to say the least

Pros

A well tutored caveman can do the job

Cons

Middle Managers in CT are all on H1B. The rest of the CT employees are a revolving door (unless you tow the company line perfectly), do a deep google search to see the average tenure is under 2 years. They just fired 100 or so devs/quants in London G-Research because they had too much knowledge of the old system and didn't want them to have new human capital of the new system. Do the math, they don't want to pay people so they keep people that they have complete power over or who stay docile and compliant. The sole owner of both companies wants to funnel as much money to himself as possible through these schemes and is doing it through various methods including the ones exposed above.

Pros

Majority of staff are nice to work with. Beach days are fantastic.

Cons

Very high turn over A large number of staff have either left or in the status of leaving this year due to lack of power and direction in senior management Expect to receive minimal benefits, no pension, no housing allowance (which had previously been verbally agreed to all members of staff before joining) and potentially no bonus and lack lustre pay rises Previously suggestions have been made by members of staff on how to improve which all got completely ignored.
