Pros

AirMason is an incredible place to work if you’re looking for autonomy, impact, and a fast-paced environment that challenges and inspires you every day. One of the things I appreciate most is the flexibility. Being able to build your own schedule and structure your day around when you’re most productive is a huge plus. What sets AirMason apart is the opportunity to truly make your mark. Your ideas are heard, your contributions are valued, and you can directly see the results of your work. It’s a collaborative team that moves quickly, supports one another, and is genuinely passionate about building something meaningful. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment where innovation is encouraged and every team member plays a vital role, AirMason is the place to be.

Cons

Being part of a startup means there isn’t always a ton of structure or predefined processes in place. This can be challenging for those who prefer a highly organized or traditional work environment. However, if you’re someone who enjoys building your own systems, taking initiative, and shaping how things are done, it can actually be a great opportunity for growth and ownership.

Pros

- The onboarding process for this company lasted just under 3 months, which is approximately 10 weeks. Appreciated that it was spread out over this period, as it prevented any sense of feeling overwhelmed while learning the product and role responsibilities - The company provided all the necessary equipment (home office expense) - Work hours were flexible in the sense that there was no need to ask for permission to timeshift - The company offered flexible personal/family/sick days - Ability to work remotely anywhere - The salary offered for the role was above the market rate

Cons

- Limited client call opportunities hindered skill development and attempts to become more involved were unsuccessful - Disjointed client onboarding and unseamless internal tools posed challenges for a new employee with tech experience - Despite the remote nature of the role, I was required to commute to the office a few times during onboarding, which was unexpected and could have been problematic for candidates living farther away - AirMason lacked an internal HR department and did not partner with insurance companies to provide clear dental and medical coverage benefits, it was surprising to find out that the company did not provide its own benefits book, especially considering that its product centers around digital documents for employees - The company should have a dedicated support team for clients, this led to two individuals fulfilling three roles, which has resulted in challenges for training and performing effectively compared to a previous similar position - Insufficient support and feedback from the company made it challenging for me to determine areas for improvement and whether it was a good fit. - The lack of communication and feedback led to disappointment and feeling misled about the company's values and culture. More transparent and frequent communication channels could have addressed this issue. - Due to the lack of an organized and standardized off-boarding procedure, I had to personally follow up multiple times in order to off-board myself
