Pros
Relaxed dress code.
Nothing else
Cons
Where shall I begin?
- 9-10 hour workday (minimum) with only 30 minute lunch. Strict 30 mins! Frowned upon if you need more or if you take a break.
- Cameras everywhere, including the break room, where there are no products. One member told me there was audio recordings as well, but I didn’t observe them personally and there was no mention of this in the office (which would be required by law)
- Nasty work environment. The office floor is covered in dog hair from the owner’s 2 large dogs, who constantly jump on you and beg for food.
- Inadequate training- it was commonly heard that they were “too busy” to dive into job specific duties and had employees just shadow. A manager said, “it’s not how well you perform here, but how you do on the knowledge tests”
- No structure in job functions. This is mostly due to being understaffed and having a constant “all hands on deck” approach. This leads to everyone being stretched thin, overworked, and ultimately high turnover.
- No appreciation for staff. The warehouse staff are spoken to like they are beneath management. The owner does not acknowledge anyone in the office. He was the only one that I spoke to via phone during the interview process and on my first day, he acted like I didn’t exist.
- There’s a restroom that requires a fingerprint access, which everyone is not given. Only a select few have access to this “special” restroom.
