Pros

Off early on Fridays if your workload allows. Ideal downtown location, modern-style office equipped with snacks, drinks, etc.

Cons

"Lead with Kindness" is a nice value to have if you actually execute it the way that Kathleen does. However, the cliquey, judgmental environment from the rest of the agency does not welcome kindness in any way. The senior leadership act as if those below them are a complete burden, and gossip about each other constantly. There are of course a few exceptions to this, but most of the upper levels expect everything without giving any sort of direction/information, and when you ask a question in-person, you're advised to sit down and write it an email so they can get to it when they can (which doesn't promote a friendly, collaborative environment, like the agency's core values suggest, does it?)

Pros

I've worked at my fair share of agencies - and Agency H5 was unlike the rest. There is zero toxicity, and endless support from colleagues and senior management. The experience you will gain here will put you ahead in the industry - and you'll get to work with a very wide array of clients. On the personal side, the CEO GETS it. She knows that you have a life outside of work, and understands the importance of mental health.

Cons

It will be a very hard place to leave!

Pros

Nice office location, other interns were nice

Cons

From day one, it was clear that this workplace thrives on cliques. Most employees formed tight-knit groups that were unwelcoming to outsiders, particularly interns. Gossip was constant. People regularly spoke poorly about coworkers and clients. Unfortunately, management not only ignored the toxicity but also enabled it. Despite being made aware of the unprofessional behavior, leadership chose to look the other way. They appeared far more interested in maintaining the status quo than in supporting a healthy or respectful work environment. As for the internship itself, it was incredibly disappointing. We were promised hands-on experience and mentorship, but the reality was far from it. Our days were mostly filled with menial tasks, including washing dishes, picking up lunches, and running errands for the full-time employees. There was no learning or guidance, and no effort was made to integrate us into the company's actual work. This internship wasn't a stepping stone into the industry. It was a lesson in how not to run a business or treat people. If you're looking for a place to grow, be mentored, or be treated with basic respect, this is not it.
