Pros

Good colleagues but other then that literally none

Cons

Working here is a rollercoaster! The company attracts a diverse group of international talents by offering promising opportunities and visa sponsorship, which initially sounds great. They got you working crazy hours and it is not even optional to work normal working day as management saying that it is not 9-5 job. While the official line for H1B holders is a 40-hour workweek, the reality is more like 80-100 hours. There's this unspoken threat that if you don't keep up, your visa might be in jeopardy. You're expected to be on call day and night, and forget about taking a sick day or vacation. It's all about work, work, work. The technical team is mostly made up of international hires. As they recently replaced most of team members who didn't need visa sponsorship and preferred a more balanced work schedule with International people who they can work to the ground. There have been instances of false reporting to clients and investors, reports of workplace misconduct, including sexual harassment and discrimination. While Afficiency places a strong emphasis on honesty as one of its core values, there may be an opportunity for open dialogue and feedback regarding the alignment of these values with the behaviors of the management team. If you would like to be constantly treated as a slave and do not have any life-work balance then this place is for you.

Pros

Everyone works hard, takes ownership, and has a passion for their function and what we are building. People are nice and helpful. A good mix of both independent and team work. Startup culture with flexibility to work hybrid and/ or remote. Easy to communicate with anyone in the organization and people value having an opinion and taking leadership roles. Company has some really innovative products and has a lot of opportunity to grow with them

Cons

Industry and company have shifts and for a small company there are lot of pivots in strategy to adjust to where the market is heading. These can be stressful but also yield a lot of opportunity to grow and learn new aspects of the business and market. Not a good place for people who aren't adaptable or are used to very narrow focused roles ad there's a lot of cross-functional work and extension beyond base job roles that many may not be comfortable learning or undertaking. Fast pace and high intensity required may not be for everyone.
