Pros

Aesop has a genuinely supportive and inclusive culture. The team environment is welcoming and collaborative, making each shift enjoyable. The training on products is exceptional — you really get to understand the brand and ingredients, which makes selling feel authentic rather than pushy.

Cons

The only downside is the separation between States. It can feel a little disconnected from the broader Aesop network outside your local area, which limits collaboration or career exposure nationally. Want me to make it sound sassier, more corporate, or totally blunt?

I worked there for two years, and in December last year I was informed the store would close, which left me with no option but to resign on the same day due to the need to cover my rent. Strangely, the next day the same decision-maker announced that the store would remain open and that a new store manager would be appointed, a plan that has still not materialized after seven months. In the interim, the store has operated with interim managers and a reduced staff, while pay remains low and the culture has deteriorated, leading to ongoing turnover and a perception of practices that are not consistent with fair and respectful treatment of employees.
