Pros

A relaxed atmosphere, for now, with a dress down culture typical of the Pacific Northwest business culture. Most of the staff is recent college grads with aero type engineering degrees.

Cons

*Inexperienced in certification flight testing for the senior management. *Inexperienced staff with most zero experienced fresh-out college grads. AeroTEC is about a 10 year old firm specializing in small flight test projects. That company has never done the very difficult and involved task of a full blown FAA flight test certification program as they are about to embark on with both the FAA and the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB). Though the certification will be through the JCAB, the FAA will have oversight because that plane will be available to the American market. The senior staff of that company is composed mostly of aeronautical engineering types with no real lab facilities and only one seasoned electrical engineer. The majority of the rest of the staff are fresh out aero engineering grads with almost no experience. Given that Japan's Mitsubishi Aircraft Co. has awarded AeroTEC the contract to flight test the new Mitsubishi Regional Jet at Moses Lake Washington sometime in the summer of 2015, so they say, their problems will be compounded by Mitsubishi's troubled history in the general aviation industry. Mitsubishi's last general aviation jet plane, designed about 30 years ago, was a bust, where the design was finally sold off to Beechcraft of Wichita Kansas. Having worked there some years ago, that re-named Beechjet did not sell well either with it's only saving grace was that it was "fast". If you want job, go contract and do not expect a career out of this job due to it being a very high risk operation and the possibility of bankruptcy.
