Pros
I worked for the support team in Bangalore. I'm not sure about how the work/culture/growth/learning in the other teams are. - Very comfortable team with less in flow of work. - There is no micromanagement in the team. - Aerospike technology is a very complex system but the training documents and modules are very well documented for one to understand the product well. - The team always supports you to take enough break from the work to maintain the balance. - The company pays well as per the current standards. - One can settle here if they don't want to purse their technical career and move towards management in a long term.
Cons
- Apart from learning Aerospike technology, there is barely no other technology one can learn here. Though there might be some technologies like k8's operator, cloud, Kafka, etc... Learning of these are very very minimal in the work. - One should join here only to settle in this company for a long term goal. This technology becomes a biggg disadvantage when one wants to explore other job opportunities. - This is not a place for one who wants to explore and learn other areas of technology. - It feels like the support team just needs a gatekeeper for their incoming cases, nothing more than that. - The company was very welcoming when I initially joined. Also felt the exact opposite of it when I said I'm moving on. This shows the company values. - Senior resource who is also the manager is not ready to educate/share their product knowledge comfortably. This product is proprietary so sharing knwoledge plays a major role here. - Management is not open in listening to others suggestions/inputs. They do sound like they are very open but they are not.
