Pros

The product is genuinely interesting, and there’s a strong group of committed, talented, and fun people to work with. The company is growing and attracting attention in the market.

Cons

The culture suffers from inconsistent and often unrealistic expectations. There’s little sense of stability or security, and burnout is frequently rewarded rather than prevented. Many challenges are typical of a startup, but they’re made worse by an authoritarian CEO who plays favorites. Employees brought in for their expertise are often sidelined. Efforts to build sustainable processes are discouraged, while reactive, last-minute “fire drills” are praised. Executives expect constant availability, even during off-hours or scheduled time off.

Pros

- Great Team - Office Location is nice but a little far from the metra & the L - Team is all within the same timezone - Tons of Room for growth, landing big deals - It is a startup, so you get to know people and feel part of a community rather than a number at a large org.

Cons

- 4 days a week in the office is a little much when other large companies have a 3 day a week policy. Its good for younger employees to be in the office and get face time

Pros

The people here are exceptional - genuinely bright, driven individuals who are all invested in the company's success. The collaborative energy is contagious, and I've watched colleagues across different departments grow into new roles and responsibilities, which says a lot about the opportunities available here. What really stands out is how much the company invests in its people and culture. From company-wide contests and monthly engagement activities to various employee resource groups, there's a real effort to keep things fun and connected. The community involvement is also meaningful - initiatives like the Healing Hugs drive and contributions to Ronald McDonald House show the company practices what it preaches about giving back. Working cross-functionally, I get visibility into how the whole organization operates, and it's exciting to be part of identifying new opportunities and then seeing company-wide initiatives rally everyone around those goals.

Cons

As we scale, some growing pains are natural. Communication across departments could be more streamlined, and knowledge-sharing practices are still maturing. But these feel like temporary challenges that come with growth rather than fundamental issues.
