Pros

You work hard, show that you're motivated you will most definitely be given opportunities to progress. I've been with Aero-care just under a year, starting as a baggage handler I am now a leading hand, also cross trained into customer services and airport movement coordinator (a very high responsibility indeed). I didn't ask for any of these roles, I put in 100% every shift and it was recognised. Started off around 18hrs a week, now I sit between 40-50hrs comfortably. They host monthly one on one meetings with your dedicated supervisor to track your progress within the company and address any concerns you may have. Staff travel benefits, depending on which operation you're in.

Cons

High staff turnover, This generally isn't the companies fault... Many people find the work is not for them, find it harder than expected or simply do not want to adhere to policies. This results in new, inexperienced staff being injected into the company putting more pressure on senior staff. Split shifts, not enjoyable for anyone but they are part of aviation.. especially in international contracts where no flights arrive or depart throughout midday. Don't like hard work? Don't apply for a ramp handler role, After your initial training there are no 'mock' turnarounds, you will be put on real flights and face the demand of high pressure OTP requirements.
