Pros

No Pros that one can think of

Cons

Weekend Warriors with No Reward: Want to enjoy your weekends like a normal human being? Think again. At Aerchain, weekends are fair game for work, and there's no compensation in sight. Whether it's Saturday or Sunday, you're expected to be at their beck and call, sacrificing your precious time without a hint of appreciation or overtime pay. It's a one-way ticket to burnout city. Salary Stagnation: Despite the company's demands for your undivided attention, Aerchain conveniently forgets to compensate you fairly. Salaries are stagnant, stuck in the dark ages while the cost of living continues to skyrocket. It's insulting to see your hard work go unrecognized and unrewarded, while the higher-ups line their pockets without a second thought. Coerced Positive Reviews: Aerchain's HR department, in collusion with management, has crossed ethical boundaries by pressuring every employee to fabricate positive reviews about the company. This desperate attempt to artificially inflate its image is not only deceitful but also insulting to the intelligence of both current and prospective employees. It's a clear sign of the company's desperation to cover up its shortcomings and deceive unsuspecting individuals into joining a sinking ship.

Aerchain Response

It’s important to clarify that weekend work at Aerchain is not a standard practice. Over the past five years, the only individuals consistently working over weekends have been our co-founders, who do so to plan effectively for the team and their goals. Occasionally, some core team members may step in during critical times, but these instances have accounted for less than 2% of all weekends. Additionally, there are rare cases, such as product releases or managing escalations, where a small number of employees may be needed, which is typical in any high-growth startup. Regarding the concern about "lining pockets," it's important to note that our co-founders and core team have consistently prioritised the well-being of our employees, often sacrificing their own salaries and forgoing hikes for years when necessary. At Aerchain, leadership compensation is closely tied to the overall team's performance, with leaders typically receiving raises that are equal to or less than the average increase given to their teams. Our approach is to ensure that the success and rewards are shared fairly across the organisation Addressing the concern about salary stagnation, we want to clarify that over the last five years, every eligible employee has received salary increases, with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic period, during which we faced significant financial challenges (There were hardly 6 people in the team back then - only the founding team). Despite this, once we stabilised, we resumed providing salary hikes, which have often exceeded market standards, even during years of modest growth. Our priority has always been to ensure that our team members are fairly compensated for their contributions. Regarding the concern about coerced positive reviews, we want to emphasise that our focus has always been on building a high-growth company rather than on online reviews. However, we did face a situation where a small number of former employees, who left under challenging circumstances, posted negative reviews. In response, we encouraged our long-standing team members to share their genuine experiences to provide a balanced perspective for prospective employees. Our intention was to ensure that new joiners could make informed decisions based on a broader range of feedback. For those currently with us, the positive culture and work environment are well known and experienced daily. Our average tenure & the retention rate are a testament of how we take care of our employees. We sincerely wish you the best in all your future endeavours and hope you achieve great success. At Aerchain, our employees are, and will always be, our top priority. Please share any genuine feedback on culture@aerchain.io to help us improve & become better.

Pros

The pace of product development here is genuinely mind-blowing. Over the last year, I’ve learned more than I have in many years elsewhere. You get real ownership, from understanding a problem deeply to building and shipping the solution. Things move lightning fast, and innovation is not just encouraged, it’s expected. What I really appreciate is how cross-functional the work is. Multiple teams come together to release a single feature, which can be hectic but also extremely rewarding. You learn a lot by working closely with engineering, design, and other stakeholders, and you’re trusted to make decisions. If you enjoy building from scratch and don’t shy away from responsibility, this is a great place to grow.

Cons

With this kind of speed, there are naturally challenges. Processes are still evolving, and at times the lack of structure can make execution harder than it needs to be. Coordination across teams can feel like a hassle, especially when everyone is moving fast and priorities are shifting. That said, the organization is clearly aware of this and is actively working on stabilizing teams and improving processes, which is reassuring.
