Pros

you get paid your base salary. Good for a temporary job while you find a good option.

Cons

This company revolves around the owner who will get tantrums periodically, doesn't respect other professionals and speaks profanity every time he gets a chance. He has been known for firing people on the spot over a disagreement. The people who have survived this culture are mostly bullies. There's no clear mission, vision or values. The career growth and ethical hiring practices are totally absent. There's absolutely no empowerment to Human Resources nor any other department. Working at AerSale is like working in a dictatorship type of environment with marked social distance and inequality based on the level in the organization and friendship with top leaders/ stakeholders. They fire massive amounts of personnel when revenue declines in a totally inhumane manner. For example, they just laid off 25% of their workforce effective immediately, with zero severance package and no medical insurance. It's happened more than once. In addition, periodically, employees are coerced to post positive reviews on this site to influence any sort of potential that they might develop to go public.

Pros

The base salary is competitive at the point of hire. That said, there are no cost-of-living adjustments or CPI-linked increases, so your real purchasing power declines the longer you stay.

Cons

Remote work flexibility was not applied consistently across the team, which created a sense of inequity among employees. There was no formal feedback process and no performance reviews during my time there, making it difficult to gauge expectations or grow professionally. I did not feel I developed new skills in this role. The general atmosphere in the office felt tense and morale appeared low across the team. Communication from leadership was at times intense and difficult to navigate.
