Pros

This is one of the best jobs I've ever had; no joke. The "Cons" (below) are easy to focus on because of their prevalence and severity, but non are of the type that (imo) would make for a poor-environment. With that said - the Pros: • Culture. Everyone is nice. And not just to-your-face nice; I'd actually grab a beer with anyone here. • Opportunity. This is the silver-lining to limited resources; creativity is encouraged. The exposure to areas one would have never seen before is unparalleled. Self-starters can go wild. • Flexibility. This plays into the cultural aspect, but basically, as long as you get your work done, it doesn't matter when or where.

Cons

For those unfamiliar with the company's history, I refer you to Google. The repercussions of past decisions are still being felt, even though all bad elements have been stripped out. And I can't emphasize that last point enough; aside from the name, 2018 Aegerion is in no way anywhere remotely close to 2013 Aegerion. All the same, the road to redemption has been long and, at times, taxing. Resources are thin, and you need to be comfortable operating with a degree of uncertainty. You're not going to make your retirement money here (though you might make retirement buddies). Ones take on the company is likely tied to his/her external responsibilities. If you're putting a dozen kids through college, it might be stressful here. If you're more concerned with not hating going-to-work each day, then this place is pretty great.
