Department management sells out the RTs to other departments. It is a “cardiopulmonary “ department so morning EKGs are considered more important than respiratory modalities. Much pressure to train for PIC lines but then there is no true training. Favoritism runs rampant and leads are hostile. If you work extra shifts you are considered cream of the crop. The assignments are unbalanced and not always skill appropriate. Previous review was obviously done by current supervisor in effort to lure new employees. Large turnover rate. Poor compliance to policies and infection control.
