Pros

Working at Advancing Analytics has been such an amazing experience! The company truly fosters an inclusive and supportive culture where everyone feels welcome. Even though we're fully remote, I've genuinely never felt more connected to my colleagues. The Cafin8 morning meetings in the virtual bar for coffee are a great way to kick off the day and catch up with everyone. The Friday wind-down is the perfect way to hang out, reflect on the week, and celebrate what we've achieved. The leadership is super approachable, always open to feedback, and genuinely supports everyone’s growth. The interview process is quick and respectful, without the long, drawn-out process you often get at other tech companies. We also use an internal rewards scheme via Bonusly, where we can award coins (equating to retail vouchers) to our colleagues in recognition of hard work – which is a really nice touch! The people here are fun, friendly, and incredibly hard-working, and there’s always room to learn and grow, with allocated Talent Development days each year. I’m constantly challenged and inspired by my incredibly smart colleagues, and we get to work on exciting projects with awesome clients using the latest tools and tech. Highly recommend AA – I feel very lucky to be part of this team!

Cons

Absolutely nothing to note so far!

Pros

AA is full of extremely talented and friendly people. I've job hopped a lot in my career but this is the first company where I feel like I don't want to leave. AA has a range of interesting work, are on the cutting edge of the technology & genuinely value their employees. I've learned a lot since being here & would thoroughly recommend to anyone Joining AA has been easily the best career decision I've ever made.

Cons

AA is small company that is growing rapidly, so at times policies/procedures etc. can feel not as established. There are so many incredibly talented people here that I have suffered from imposter syndrome. My manager & colleagues have done a good job at helping me with it and it has forced my to grow & develop but that might mean AA is not suitable for everyone As a remote company, sometimes I feel like I don't have any interaction with a number of people who I'm not on the same project as.

Pros

- Fully remote/remote-first company - Great overall culture: from the top down people care about making it an inclusive place to work - So many people willing to help you out with any questions/problems you have - Emphasis on learning and building your skills - Very talented group of people to work with - Issues are picked up on and work goes into improving them (e.g. onboarding for people in data engineering has improved a lot and is continually being iterated on) - Great benefits package

Cons

It can feel a bit disorganised at times - especially with scheduling (who is going to be working on which project/when that is going to start - some of this is inherent to consultancy). Some processes feel a bit strange, due to the company growing so quickly recently and these haven't kept up. Company-wide social calls are often sparsely attended - perhaps because people don't feel like they have time. Being remote this means it can be hard to get to know others in the company beyond project teams.
