Pros

The basic design is good and allows training in area's you may not be trained in. They also offer relocation jobs in other states, but no funds to relocate.

Cons

In reality supervision is inexperienced and the training for new employee's is faulty when you are new to the plant. I seen many cases where a supervisor would allow competitive actions, false accusations, and petty jealousies to rule a decision. Also they want you to be rounded but ignore reality when someone has years of experience in one field. They imply partnership and team work but while the company promotes "they are all for the employee " they make decisions with out notice (like going from 8 hour days to 12 hour days) and while they are working under a contract with the company, the decisions on how to handle the crews come from the company not ATS. And my biggest negative is after luring me to work there and selling my home (at a huge loss in 2011) to move closer, they already knew the company was moving the plant to Texas and I would end up laid off. I really regret not taking a job where I was living for a few dollars per hour less where I would still be working.

Pros

Great time to sell into the manufacturing sector related to productivity and equipment reliability.

Cons

Operational driven company but constantly changing the sales org and strategy. "Leaders" that have no background in business development or revenue generation responsible for sales strategy. Wasn't uncommon to report to a new leader or move sales territories multiple times in a year but quota never changed. Top performers are expected to do and sell more but additional financial upside was out of the question. A select group of legacy employees and "leaders" made decisions in a bubble in most cases. I was a top performer during my entire tenure at ATS. I agreed to work out a two week notice to help transition my accounts but was terminated after three days. No one in middle management, director, or exec-level roles asked for feedback or even made the time to send an email wishing me well or thanking me for my contributions during my five years with the company. In fact, my health insurance was terminated with no warning before I left the last day. My contributions and sacrifices for ATS meant so little to the company that they didn't care that my two small children wouldn't have insurance for over a month when I tried to leave the right way.
