Pros

Steel-toed or safety shoes are not required. Occasional company provided meals ie. a mexican food truck came late last summer! Holidays are paid as long as we work the day preceding and the day after the Holiday. Paid time off is generous and our efforts in helping the Company succeed are rewarded.

Cons

The noise level is high near the large grinder. One alarm in the Extrusion Department is annoying until it's turned off. At times, there are narrow areas for the Forklift Driver to maneuver with or without a load.

Pros

I worked at this company for three years and left in 2007. Very casual dress, fairly easy going management, employees were more like family than coworkers. Great place to learn buyer/negotiating, import and export skills, and management encouraged cross-training so that each employee could better understand each process from start to finish. Which empowered us not only for our own positions to be able to help out if needed in the manufacturing area.

Cons

All employees lost privileges when a few with bad work ethic took advantage of lenient expectations. Also holidays were not acknowledged - not even with a simple card of well wishing and a thank you for doing a great job. The insurance and pay was mediocre at best. All in all, it seemed that the management had a chip on their shoulder and expected the worst from their employees. Some of us really enjoyed working there but the management's attitude of always expecting to be taken advantage of undermined any good will decent employees had to continue employment.
