Pros

AST will hire a lot of people with very little to no experience. They are bilingual , and can keep you close to 40 hours a week. there are always opportunities to get a job here.

Cons

If you are looking for a professionally run, organized, and efficient company that can help you grow and see your potential, this is not the place for you. Due to hiring practices, they hire people with no experience, and the training offered by AST is very poor. because employees tend not to have a lot of knowledge and experience, accidents and mistakes are a constant. There are no consistent reviews, and even when you get it in writing they do not honor their word. Management will bully employees who are not qualified for the jobs they were assigned to do, and use your job as a threat to complete a task that may be unsafe. i have seen several employees be let go simply for protesting against bad business practices. This company is not rational and anyone wanting to apply should take caution in what you want from them.

Pros

Many diverse job fields in automotive wheel manufacturing to explore.

Cons

low starting pay rate. No direct deposit, physical checks given only. High turnover rate in shop floor workers. Many workers are unregistered or do not have valid citizenship in the US. Way too many managers and not enough bodies to operate machinery. The Rob does not compare the capabilities of the average worker with the efficacy of meeting production quotas. Instead, he creates unrealistic production quotas that disregard the functionality of the company's hardware. Managers int he company often butt heads due to differences in leadership styles leading to the confusion of what is standardized business practice. virtually every machine in the company needs maintenance or replacement. This place is filthy and I have never seen any audits done on company safety, work hazards or work conditions. Quality control can be overridden at any given notice by the higher ups in order to meet production numbers resulting in angry customer complaints.
