Be cautious. Work / Life balance is all work and not worth the pay. You will work 60+ hours per week. - General Manager Advance Auto Parts Employee Review

Pros

Positive customer interaction Team environment within the store Benefits are adequate The company offers quaity name brand parts at good prices Company has a no hassle return policy

Cons

Micro Managed Too many new programs at one time with little to do with selling auto parts. No internal promotions to District Manager in a very large region in over 2 years. General Managers are told they work 50 hours with 2 days off (Sunday and Wendesday) but there is something almost every week that requires GM's to work Sundays. True average work week is 60+ hours. Company focused on being different not doing what will really increase sales. Stores not given enough payroll to effectively execute all the companies initiatives and take care of the customers.

Pros

It’s a pretty easy job, very fun people to work with. Hours as a driver are pretty consistent.

Cons

The pay isn’t great. It would be nice if the drivers were making at least $17 or $18 an hour. Also benefits don’t extend to health insurance only dental and vision if you are only considered part-time. Anybody that isn’t the GM, CPP, and RPP are considered part-time, regardless of the hours you get.
