Pros

Company founded on the belief that employees are the most important company asset. Sell quality parts at a competitive price and create customers for life with industry leading customer service.

Cons

Throw out everything I just wrote. Profits are our best part, at any cost. Targets and Sales Per Hour are the most important part. Daily emails from corporate stating,"it is not acceptable to miss target." That is the new company montra. 6 and even 7 day work weeks for store management. Low pay keeps you from hiring quality people. No raises (4 to 5 years in some cases), if you store fails to achieve target. Despite individual performance or stores bottom line contributions. No advancement opportunity, huge portion of opps team never actually worked in an AAP store. Company has all the tools needed to be successful, just lacks the leadership or direction to get to that point.

There is a lot of favoritism/bad management, especially in the DC that I work in. (DC-41)

- Good time off and flexible - Some leaders are great - Regular Benefits

Cons

- Not much company or team buidling activities - If you are new you may feel isoated, kind of (cliquey) in some departments - Not much option to switch leaders - With big projects you may feel as if you are doing more than you were hired for
