Pros
Fast-pace environment especially good for entry level to learn and with plenty of opportunities to contribute to improvements and be recognized. Great options for career progression if you start in operations then later change to a different department or wish to progress in operations. People are really great with helping and teaching others
Cons
Can be jaded and negative to be around when the plants run poorly, and the plants are old so equipment breaks often. Easy to burnout here if you let work consume you and don’t communicate/set your boundaries. You need to ask for support repeatedly sometimes
